"Transitional" gunmen raid the house of a pro-government military commander in Aden and loot its contents


Security forces loyal to the Southern Transitional Government raided the home of a military commander loyal to the legitimate government northeast of Aden on Thursday night and looted the contents of the house.

A local source told "Source Online" that armed groups belonging to the Shallal Shaye’a, the director of the Aden police, and others belonging to the "Security Belt", broke into the house of Colonel Jalal Maqta’a, in the neighborhood of Al-Memdara northeast of Aden, a war general of the 3rd Brigade of facilities protection and commander of the southern resistance in Mukairas, under the pretext of He suspected that there were weapons in his house, but an eyewitness said that the troops left about half an hour after the break-in and found no weapons in the house.

According to the local source, gunmen involved in the break-in were seen driving two cars that were in the courtyard of Colonel Maqta’a house, and the contents of the house were looted from furniture and belongings.

So far, nearly nine raids have been carried out that have been ignored by the al-Transitional leadership so far, but activists loyal to the UAE-backed council have indicated that information has been received that include what they say are attempts to store weapons and hide them in the homes of leaders loyal to the legitimate government.

According to a security source who spoke to "Al-Masdar Online", the majority of the raids on some of the military commanders' homes was based on unconfirmed information and noted that in all the raids that took place in the past days, no weapons were found in the homes of military commanders who broke into their homes.
